Membership supports the study, observation, and conservation of flora and fauna of the South Carolina Lowcountry, especially by the coast, through educational guest speakers, birding trips, Audubon in the Schools, wildlife tracking, research & habitat protection.
Our club's goal is to provide opportunities for studying, observing, and conserving flora and fauna of the South Carolina Lowcountry. All of our programs are open to the public.

The Fripp Island Audubon Club was created in 1978 by island resident Dixie Winter who formed the club and organized local and overnight club trips.
Audubon in the Schools partners with 3rd and 4th Graders at Beaufort Elementary & Port Royal Elementary Schools to introduce students to Lowcountry wildlife with a focus on birds and birding. See the schedule below.
